Be patient toward all that is unsolved in your heart and try to love the questions themselves…

Stephanie Perez, AMFT

Being willing to explore our inner landscapes is one of the bravest things we can do. Our inner world is often shaped by our experiences and affects everything about us, from our internal sense of worth and peace, to our intimate relationships and endeavors.

My approach to therapy begins with curiosity and compassion. Together, we will get curious about the parts of you that may feel anxious, depressed, depleted, overwhelmed, worthless, scared, or alone. We will explore these parts with gentleness and warmth in a way that feels safe and supportive. Through our work together, you will learn skills that will help you grow in compassionate awareness of your inner experience so that you are empowered to move forward in a way that aligns with your hopes and values.

I believe that the mind and body are intimately connected and that effective therapy is attuned and attentive to that connection. This often looks like being mindful of how our emotions are experienced in the body, experiential exercises, guided meditations, grounding techniques, breath work, or anything else that is clinically appropriate and helpful.

When I’m not working with my amazing clients, I enjoy spending time with my husband, cozying up with a good book, or chasing my dog around the many beautiful beaches in California.

It would be an honor to accompany you on your journey.
